The first article that I read stated that is possible that North Korea has the potential to launch a nuclear missile and have it land in United States territory, including the lower 48. They say that they have put the nuclear war head on a ballistic missile and it is eligible of reaching upwards of 4500 miles. This missile could reach as far as California, Hawaii, Alaska, and Guam. In other reports they say that they already have a nuke pointed and in launch position at South Korea. The second article that I read was about a system called IMS or an international monitoring system. The IMS is an organization that will monitor the use and testing of high nuclear explosives. The only problem with this system is that it cannot detect lower nuclear explosives.. I think that we should use this system in attempt to band all nuclear weapons and nuclear warfare.
http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/2013/apr/12/google-offers-concessions-european-commission http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2013/04/11/copper-wire-technology-whose-time-has-passed/ In the two articles that I read it was discussing some of the technology and how it is affecting the world. In the first article it discusses how Google is trying to spread some of its technology and some of its software to Europe. The Europeans have been nagging the Americans about the fact that they feel the USA has been violating its antitrust law. This is like how North Korea and South Korea have an awkward stand of and no one wants to give anything to the opponent. They always tried to come up with new stuff that would out do the other. In the other article that I read it was discussing how it is out with the old and in with the new with technology. Software called copper wire is what it was specifically talking about. It was an early version of wifi and it is now really starting to disappear from the market. This is like when the Korean War was going on how the h-bomb was created and it kind of blew any other type of bomb out of the water. This just shows that when something new and better comes out that the old model or whatever it was gets remembered less as the days go by
http://world.time.com/2013/04/11/no-panic-in-north-korea-despite-talk-of-missile-test/ http://www.nytimes.com/2013/04/12/world/asia/north-korea-may-have-nuclear-missile-capability-us-agency-says.html?pagewanted=all In the two articles i read they both discuss about north korea launching a nuclear missile at us and how there weapons have gotten better. In the one article it says North Korean has fully tested, developed or demonstrated the kinds of nuclear capabilities.it also says the North’s difficulty in developing accurate missiles or, perhaps, to the huge technical challenges of designing a warhead that can survive the rigors of flight and detonate on a specific target.it also says the North’s difficulty in developing accurate missiles or, perhaps, to the huge technical challenges of designing a warhead that can survive the rigors of flight and detonate on a specific target In the other article it says U.S. intelligence was revealed showing North Korea is now probably capable of arming a ballistic missile with a nuclear warhead. The articles are implying that North koreas technology has improved alot because now they can make missles and they have been testing them to make sure they will work.
In these two articles the both talk about the threat of a nuclear bomb being lunched at the us. By North Korea. This technology is one that is a bitter sweet because we could use it to stop bad people but on the other hand it could be used in a bad way by bad people like north Korea hew hate us. The one thing that both of this articles said was that the missiles were not capable to reach the United States. But they said since they are so unpredictable they could sell the bomb to terrorist who also hate us. Technology has changed so much in just a short time and that has mad weapons more dangerous and a lot more accurate and that is what make threats like the one North Korea did so dangerous. So tech might not be the best thing that ever happened because it just makes everything a lot more rapid and a lot more advanced than it ever has been in the art of war.
These two articles are very similar because they both are related to lasers. the wii U uses lasers to read the disks that allow you to play the game. The Germans made lasers recently to assist them in battle when ever they have to go to war. Hopefully we don't have to worry about going to war with the Germans again. It is interesting to see that the same technology can be used in many ways. One is entertainment and one is scene less violence.

Also some of their bombs are producing uranium. These articles relate to class because we were just talking about how the United States bombed North Korea. Which the result was the end of the war. The other article talks about Iran opening new uranium mines for bombs and stuff. They also opened their nuclear sites for bombing. I personally fell that nothing will happen because they are just like North Korea, they are not going to do anything because they will be blown up in return.
This relates to what we are learning in class because we learned alittle about the North Koreans and there bombs. We also talked about how the USA and the communist countrys are trying bomb us and dont like.

Both of these articles talk about North Koreas nuclear technology. There's a concern for the international community, that North Korea will launch medium- range missile. The top White House aids doubt that they have the ability to launch a missile. It would only be damaging them because it will isolate them from other countries even more. That could very devastating for their people who needs aid and food. But if there was to be missile launched there will be defense for our country along with Japan and South Korea. http://m.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-pacific-11813699
In these articles it talks about how technology can help catch criminals. Through all the social media networks, he public posts photos, videos, etc. This was true with the Boston bombers that happened earlier this week. People posted photos and video clips of two suspected men online. This gave them an easier chance o catching the two men. Also the video technology is more advanced now so it lets you get a clearer picture when zoomed in instead of having them be pixelated.

When the world first knew about the power of technology, it was mainly used for war. That all changed when Martin Cooper invented the use of Cell phones in 1973. At first, most people did not have this device because of its price, and it was very rare to have one unless you were wealthy and a business man. Now cell phones are the most common thing in the world. Searching the web, navigating, and taking pictures, cell phones have been taking over peoples brains, making it an addicting advice. 240 million people own a cell phone in America. America socially has been very poor. Surveys shows that most teenagers more than ever have a hard time having conversations because all we do is text. Even though cell phones were made for fast communication they are frowned upon in school, and other public places. America assumes that cell phones are not a bad device at times, frequently cell phones has been the most leading cause in Death car crashes. Texting while driving have made a big impact on people and families. Cell phones are a big part of our society but is also what is tearing and breaking us apart.
When was the last time you went to the post office? Not very recently right? Modern technology makes it so that you can a message across the world with the taps of your fingertips and the press of the send button. The article I found was on a mother who was concerned her son didn’t know how to properly address and send a letter and she blames technology. Recently the Postal service announced cutbacks like no service on Saturdays in order to compensate for their debt and to save money for future expense. In the modern age of technology the Postal service has declining for years nothing like once booming 40s and 50s when soldiers and soldiers wife’s had to communicate over seas and many other people. It was the only way to communicate beside the phone. Everyone from the president to soldiers to prisoners to businessmen used letters. I don’t think they could they could imagine the type of wonderment we have at our fingertips and the incredible access we have to it all anytime we want. http://readwrite.com/2013/05/27/my-teenage-son-does-not-know-how-to-mail-a-letter http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/business/2013/02/post-office-cuts-saturday-mail/
The two articles I found deal with how much technology has changes in in few years. While reading the articles, it really made me think of how it might have been back in the 50’s-70’s. The first article talks about how technology has failed us and what it was originally for. Number 1 just explains how all the apps and internet access takes up time we should be using with our loved ones. It made me think of how when the TV first came out, families would watch kid friendly shows together just so they could have family time and now I’m lucky if my parents have any time at all to watch at least 5 minutes of TV with me. Number 2 states that we record our lives rather than living them. This is absolutely true. For example, during a firework show, I’m either recording or taking pictures of the show rather than actually watching myself. 3 and 4 weren’t really big deals but number 5 says goodbye general knowledge. I agree with this. How many times to we go on the internet to find answers. Back in the 50’s there’s no way they could have done that. The second article talks about how during 9/11 social media only talked about the tragedy. Internet wasn’t as big a deal as it is now but the news talked about it for weeks. For awhile that’s all that you watched. It made me think of when JFK was assassinated and that’s all that was on the news. 24/7 they just talked about it.
